This year, the Texas Computer Education Association (TCEA) annual educational technology conference was held in a blustery, San Antonio. TCEA is an excellent way for educators to connect with experts, learn new strategies, and stay up-to-date with the latest tools in technology. January 2023 was my first time attending, and outside of the freezing weather, I had a fantastic experience and learned a TON! Here are two people and an organization you should check out!

Leslie Fisher is the Director of Fisher Technologies Inc or lesliefisher.com. She is a former Apple K-12 Senior Systems Engineer, turned ed tech presenter extraordinaire with a massive following. If you want to learn more about Leslie, you can sign up for her newsletter or follow her on Instagram or Twitter.

Matt Miller has a decade of classroom experience and is the author of the bestseller Ditch That Textbook and co-host of the Digital Learning Podcast with Holly Clark. Check out his website for FREE copies of his TCEA 2023 presentations. You can sign up for his newsletter or follow him on YouTube or Twitter.

I also had the pleasure of meeting American Radio Relay League (ARRL) representatives from The National Association of Amateur Radio. ARRL hosts an annual summer

Teachers Institute on Wireless Technology, an expenses-paid professional development program providing teachers with tools and strategies to introduce basic electronics, radio science, satellite communications, Amateur Radio, weather science, microcontrollers, and electronic sensors to their students. The curriculum is designed for motivated teachers and other school staff who want to learn more about wireless technology and bring that knowledge to their students. If you are interested in the Teachers Institute on Wireless Technology, please check out their website for more information. If you want to learn more about AARL, you can follow them on Instagram, Twitter, or YouTube.
